Updated australian-legal zotero citation style

I have modified the Australian-Legal citation style for Zotero created by Anton Hughes. I will continue to make some changes as I find problems in my thesis. I’m using the AGLC v2 as a guide.

Changelist, 15 January 2010

  1. style uses the ‘authority’ (‘court’) field to distinguish between US and Australian cases; legal_case with a ‘court’ field has the ‘court’ listed.
  2. several sets of formatting – italics and quotes fixed, according to AGLC
  3. new rule for newspapers (AGLC 6.2)
  4. updated rule for webpages (AGLC 6.14)
  5. new rule for theses (AGLC 6.7)

Changes 05 January 2009:

  1. removed final comma in journal article names
  2. removed ‘at’ in pinpoint references and replaced with commas
  3. for pinpoints in legislation and books, just use a space instead of a comma
  4. don’t use ‘above’ for legislation, only ‘ibid’ or a new ref
  5. always use title for legislation, even if there’s a jurisdiction in the ‘author’ field
